If you have a missing "indoor only" kitty, please beware of 'some' information found on the web. A lady with a missing pet phoned me to say that she had read on the web that indoor only missing kittys only travel up to 3 blocks away from their homes when they are missing. (she directed me to the site). Anyway, , due to this information she flyered an area of 3 blocks around her home in attempting to find her missing indoor only kitty. After a week, when she received no calls... she decided she'd flyer a bit further on her own whim. She received a call almost immediately after flyering a few blocks wide. However, it was too late. The caller told her she'd been feeding a kitty matching her missing kittys description over the course of the last few days. She said she had just seen this kitty eating from her outdoor bowl this morning just hours before the lost kitty flyer arrived. The lady with the missing kitty hurried out to go see if she could find her missing kitty in this particular neighborhood. It was too late... as she arrived in this neighborhood looking for her missing kitty she found her dear missing kitty deceased along side road from being hit by car. So my warning to all of you who have missing indoor only kittys is don't follow the rule of thumb of only searching 3 blocks wide for your missing indoor only kittys. Search and flyer for your kitty as if his/her life depends on you finding them. Search and flyer the area, far and wide! Because they are depending on you to find them, and they don't think about how far away from home their reaching when they're lost. ~Melody
